My point is that if large companies who are both smart Spiceworks and Solarwinds use different methods and no one seems to have a problem with either both have millions of users , then why not distribute in a way that's easy for most users? I sure wish Spiceworks would tell us why they chose exe's instead of the "much better" zip format, because according to their own users, Spiceworks is doing it wrong. Microsoft uses mostly EXE installers too.
